Job summary

Quartermaster inc. in Toronto seeks a Lead Product Designer to own the home management design, including features that shift homeowners from reactive to proactive care.

You will lead the product trio, partnering with the product lead and engineering lead to identify problems worth solving and drive outcomes with a user-centric, trust-focused approach. You are deeply empathetic to homeowners, capable of turning broad ideas into impactful designs, and comfortable using AI as part of your practice.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading end-to-end product design from discovery to shipped product.
• Experience in innovation/R&D style design with hypothesis-driven work.
• Ability to design complex data-rich systems that feel simple and trustworthy.
• Strong visual/interaction design craft with modern tools.
• Genuine interest in AI and ability to use AI as a design tool.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the home management design end-to-end from concept to delivery.
• Lead the product trio to define outcomes with product and engineering leads.
• Identify opportunities via research and validate with prototypes and user feedback.
• Design AI-assisted features turning data into personalized homeowner experiences.
• Contribute to the design system while shipping features.
• Use AI tools hands-on to advance design practices at Quartermaster.
• Communicate insights and design rationale to cross-functional teams.
