Job summary

Questrade Financial Group seeks a Principal Product Designer, Design System, to lead foundational system work across a hybrid, chapter-based org. You will redefine governance, architecture, and contribution culture while expanding the system into motion, sound, 3D, and creative.

Collaborate closely with Design Engineers to align design with product delivery and coach teams to fluent systems usage. The role emphasizes setting deep technical standards, tokens, theming, and scalable component

Qualifications

• Experience founding or rebuilding a design system (architecture, governance, contribution culture).
• Ability to take design to product with Design Engineers to rethink delivery models.
• Proven track record coaching product teams toward systems fluency.

Responsibilities

• Refounding the system for a decentralized org with hybrid teams.
• Rethink design system scope beyond UI to motion, sound, and 3D.
• Own the path from Figma to customer hands with Design Engineers.
• Coach product teams to adopt system fluency; measure impact in others' work.
• Set tokens, theming, and component architecture to industry standards.
