Job summary

SCOR Group in Toronto is seeking an AVP, Senior Portfolio TA&A SME to provide technical accounting support, manage complex portfolios, and govern data, contracts, and cash flows across underwriting and claims. You will coach other PMs, drive process improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with stakeholders to deliver timely insights and robust controls in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field. Master's or professional certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance and insurance accounting principles. At least 7 years in the field.
• Treaty and facultative reinsurance experience beneficial.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Power Query).
• Power BI, Business Objects, Foundry skills beneficial.
• Experience in end-to-end technical accounting including premium and claims processing, reconciliation, and settlement.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio management of facultative policies with accurate updates in underwriting and accounting platforms.
• Align with underwriters on policy language/terms and conditions changes.
• Manage cashflow including setting up client bank accounts and processing payments.
• Cooperate as senior liaison between Underwriting, Claims, Finance, brokers, cedents, and outsourced teams.
• Perform Internal Controls (ICs) and support Underwriters in controls.
• Ensure compliance with sanctions and embargo lists and proper filing of documentation.
