Job summary

Scotiabank in Toronto is seeking a Manager, Portfolio Analytics & Insights to deliver high-quality portfolio monitoring, analytics, and insights for the Unsecured Lending portfolio. This senior role supports leadership in data-driven decision making and risk strategy.

You will design and maintain dashboards (Power BI or equivalent), perform deep-dive analyses using SQL, SAS, Python, and Excel, translate findings into executive-ready materials, and collaborate with Product, Finance, and Strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business discipline; graduate degree is an asset.
• 3–5 years of experience in portfolio analytics, credit risk, or financial analytics.
• Experience in unsecured lending products (Credit Cards, ULOC, etc.) preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL/SAS or Python (required).
• Strong hands-on experience in data analysis and portfolio monitoring.
• Strong experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools.
• Ability to structure complex analyses and communicate insights effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain portfolio monitoring dashboards and scorecards (Power BI or equivalent).
• Perform deep-dive analytics to investigate portfolio trends, variances, and emerging risks.
• Analyze performance across channels, programs, and segments to identify risk drivers.
• Execute data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL, SAS, Python, and/or Excel.
• Translate analytics into clear, structured, and actionable insights for senior leadership.
