Job summary

Aviva Canada is seeking a Group Portfolio Lead to manage the intake and evaluation of new group business within Personal Insurance. You will coordinate with internal teams, report results to PI partners, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across distribution, pricing, legal and underwriting.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or college diploma, 5+ years in P&C underwriting, and a strong analytics mindset. Hybrid work, career development, and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma required.
• 5+ years P&C Underwriting experience.
• Business analytics—using data to drive business decisions.
• Knowledge and understanding of the full value chain of insurance including Underwriting and Ratemaking.
• Digital and traditional marketing knowledge.
• Excellent communicator and a natural collaborator.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead the intake process and coordination with internal teams for new groups.
• Understand and report on results to keep PI partners informed on status of new applications.
• Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders including distribution partners, actuarial pricing, legal, and underwriting.
• Propose and undertake project work to improve Aviva Group Processes, Policies, Risk & Controls, Tactics, and Execution.
• Reflect the group segment perspective at relevant tables, committees and projects, while supporting One Aviva mindset.
• Communicate and coordinate system changes needed for group with technology teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
