Job summary

Interac is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to oversee physical and virtual infrastructure, driving secure, scalable designs across platforms and services in Canada. You will mentor teams, guide OpenShift patterns, and ensure high availability to meet SLAs.

Strong vendor management and change-control experience are essential. The role reports to RTR Operations and requires 7+ years of hands-on infra experience, plus a Bachelor's in CS/IT or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or 8+ years IT experience.
• Eligibility to work in Canada in full-time capacity.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and technical support skills.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, service, and support contracts.
• Ability to thrive in change-controlled environments.
• Knowledge of Agile practices.
• 7+ years hands-on engineering in one or more infrastructure domains.
• Proven ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead physical and virtual infrastructure components.
• Provide technical leadership for scalable, secure designs.
• Manage OS and system software across RHEL, Windows, Ubuntu.
• Oversee monitoring and capacity across platforms.
• Ensure high availability to meet SLA/SLO.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure contracts meet needs.
• Guide OpenShift cluster design and deployment patterns.
• Document architectures and runbooks.
• Support DR/BCP readiness.
• Mentor Platform and Infrastructure teams.
