Job summary

Interac Corp. is seeking an experienced Technical Lead for Money Movement platforms to drive design, development, modernization, and support of enterprise-scale applications.

You will guide engineers, champion secure, scalable APIs, and collaborate with architects to define target-state architectures. The role demands 8+ years in software development, strong Java/Spring capabilities, and hands-on leadership in Agile teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years leading technical teams or major development initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications in complex environments.
• Expert-level Java development with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience developing and consuming SOAP/Web Services.
• Knowledge of API versioning, security, and governance practices.
• Experience with Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, SQL optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, Maven/Gradle, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Java-based application development initiatives.
• Lead solution design discussions and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Define and promote software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design reviews.
• Mentor developers and foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
