Remote People represents a Toronto-based manufacturing partner seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead production planning, master scheduling and MRP coordination for on-time delivery.

Reporting to the COO, you will balance customer commitments with machine capacity and material availability, driving continuous improvement across planning processes. This is an on-site, full-time role located in the East End of Toronto.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in manufacturing production planning, master scheduling or materials planning
• ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling, inventory control and capacity planning
• Experience managing production requirements in manufacturing environment
• Ability to anticipate constraints, resolve scheduling challenges and support on-time delivery
• Strong Excel, analytics and reporting skills
• Diploma or degree in related field
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving capabilities

Aufgaben

• Develop, manage and improve master production schedules based on orders, delivery commitments and capacity
• Establish production priorities and monitor work orders for timely completion
• Coordinate machine utilization, labor allocation and sequencing with leadership
• Identify bottlenecks and risks and implement corrective actions to maintain flow
• Oversee MRP to ensure materials availability at right time
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Inventory Control on replenishment priorities
• Maintain ERP/MRP data including BOMs, routings and lead times
• Strengthen planning accuracy through improved systems and reporting
• Support reliable costing and decision-making with accurate planning data
• Monitor metrics like on-time delivery, backlog and utilization
• Drive improvements to productivity, resource allocation and flow
• Provide leadership with visibility into constraints and risks
• Establish standardized planning procedures and performance expectations
• Partner with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering and Quality to align priorities
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and advise on capacity planning and improvements
• Offer recommendations to senior leadership on capacity and priorities
• Ensure consistent planning processes
