Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking a Senior Piping Designer to lead piping design activities on complex energy infrastructure projects from concept through detailed engineering. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior designers, and ensure high-quality project execution across Canada offices.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive piping design experience in industrial, energy, oil & gas, power sectors.
Experience with 3D plant design deliverables and isometrics.
Proficient with CADWorx or Plant 3D and similar tools.
Strong knowledge of industry codes and drafting practices.

Responsibilities

Lead piping design activities from concept to detailed engineering.
Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, equipment, and construction packages.
Direct the development and maintenance of 3D plant models.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to intermediate and junior designers.
Coordinate interfaces between piping, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and process disciplines.
Review vendor and third-party documentation and incorporate design requirements.
Participate in field reviews and construction support.
Identify scope changes and technical risks to improve delivery.
