One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior People Operations Specialist in Canada.

This role is a unique opportunity for a passionate HR professional to join a fast-growing remote-first startup and make a meaningful impact on the employee experience. You'll play a key role in creating, optimizing, and scaling people processes across the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding to engagement and beyond. Working closely with a collaborative People team, you'll be responsible for supporting benefits, compliance, and international operations while championing culture and employee satisfaction. Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a go-to support resource for employees, offering guidance with empathy and discretion
  • Lead seamless onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for team members
  • Coordinate benefits administration and employee leaves in partnership with brokers and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS (Rippling) and support compliance reporting
  • Update and organize internal policies, handbooks, and process documentation
  • Support employee engagement efforts, surveys, and team-building initiatives
  • Manage international employment operations (onboarding, payroll, compliance) via Deel
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve internal processes and the overall employee experience


Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in People Operations or HR Coordination, ideally within a remote startup (150-300 employees)
  • High empathy, positive energy, and a collaborative mindset—you're a natural culture ambassador
  • Creative and resourceful problem-solver who adapts quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across different audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven, with a high bar for quality in execution
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Rippling) and familiarity with remote work tools
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and ownership-driven in managing tasks and initiatives
