As a Senior People Business Partner at Fullsteam, you will act as a strategic consultant to our business leaders, playing a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with business objectives, fostering a positive and productive work culture, and driving organizational success through effective talent management and employee engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide first-line HR support to employees and managers, ensuring timely and accurate responses to HR inquiries.
- Guide managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead employee relations initiatives, assist with investigations, resolve concerns, develop documentation, and promote a positive work culture.
- Identify workplace trends proactively and recommend HR interventions to address engagement, performance, and retention challenges.
- Support talent management programs, including performance management and leadership development.
- Assist with organizational design, change management, and workforce optimization initiatives to ensure the organization has the right talent in the right roles.
- Maintain communication with business unit leaders to understand team dynamics and provide support.
- Ensure accurate employee records, support HR compliance, and align with policies and labor laws.
- Support change management initiatives and communicate effectively within the organization.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to implement company-wide initiatives such as learning programs and change processes.
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture reflecting the organization’s values.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and stay updated on legal changes.
- Provide strategic HR support, focusing on both U.S. and Canadian labor laws and practices.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws (including Canadian regulations), and industry trends.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to employee relations, ensuring legal compliance.
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and results-driven mindset.
- Ownership of challenges and driving solutions independently.
- Forward-thinking with anticipation of business needs and HR interventions.
- Adaptability to an evolving, high-energy environment.
- Ability to manage pressure and deadlines effectively.
- Experience with HR systems, preferably Workday.
- Extensive experience supporting Canadian HR processes, including compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- At least 3 years of progressive HR experience, focusing on business partnership and employee relations.
- HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CHRP, CHRL) preferred.
