Job summary

KDC/One is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to administer the full Canadian payroll cycle across Toronto, Knowlton and Longueuil for about 700 employees. The role reports to Payroll Manager (New Jersey) and emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and cross-border collaboration.

You will manage records, deductions, remittances, ROEs, and year-end activities while supporting benefits and retirement plan processing. A hybrid work model is available with strong benefits.

Qualifications

  • DEC in Accounting, Administration or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience processing the full Canadian payroll cycle.
  • Good knowledge of Canada payroll legislation and tax requirements.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge.
  • French and English bilingualism is essential for Canada/US teams.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and verify employee payroll records in HR system.
  • Collect and validate information for hires, changes, terminations.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll according to procedures.
  • Handle payroll deductions, garnishments, and support orders.
  • Notify authorities for extended absences as needed.
  • Support managers with timesheet validation and data accuracy.
  • Prepare and balance government remittances and ROEs.
