Job summary

Versaterm, a leading public safety SaaS provider, is seeking a Senior Manager, Payroll and People Operations in Ottawa. You will own payroll, benefits, leaves, compensation and HR operations across US, Canada and Quebec, stepping in to run cycles when needed.

You will supervise a team, collaborate with Finance and CHRO, ensure regulatory compliance, implement AI-driven analysis, and modernize processes with an emphasis on data integrity and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, finance, or related field.
• PLP or CPP designation is a plus.
• 10+ years in payroll, benefits, and HR operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll processing across US/Canada, including semi-monthly, biweekly for Quebec.
• Own benefits and leave programs design, vendor management, and open enrollment.
• Administer HRIS (BambooHR) and ensure data integrity and reporting.
• Drive governance, budgets, audits, and workforce reporting.
• Partner with Finance and CHRO on compensation and total rewards.
