Job summary

Morgan McKinley is hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist for their Ajax, ON site. You will lead full-cycle payroll for 300 employees across Canada and the U.S., collaborating with HR and Accounting in a growth-focused environment.

The role requires 5+ years of payroll experience in Ontario, familiarity with weekly and bi-weekly processing, and strong knowledge of tax compliance and benefits administration. commute to Ajax is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience in Ontario.
• Experience with salaried, hourly and temporary payroll processing.
• Knowledge of tax compliance and benefits administration is a plus.
• Experience across Canada and the U.S. payroll is desirable but not required.
• Willing to commute to Ajax, 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle payroll for Canadian and U.S. employees (weekly and bi-weekly).
• Handle overtime, bonuses, commissions with accuracy and policy compliance.
• Administer payroll tax filings, year-end reporting (T4s, T2200) and remittances.
• Process expenses and travel claims with proper documentation.
• Monitor time and attendance system and provide management reports.
• Support benefits administration including deductions and remittances.
• Maintain payroll records and assist audits.
• Provide payroll and benefits support to employees and HR.
• Recommend system enhancements to improve efficiency.
• Assist HR with policy implementation relevant to payroll.
