Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is seeking a Junior–Intermediate Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team in Ottawa. The role supports day-to-day payroll activities, including data entry, timecard reconciliation, and payroll processing, with a hybrid work model combining home and on-site work.

You will work with PeopleSoft, Oracle Time & Labour and ADP Workforce Now, handling biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff, and assisting with year-end tasks and payroll law

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field; or undergraduate degree with payroll certificate.
• Experience in payroll, accounting, finance, administration, or related field is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial/employee information; excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll processing for union and non-union employees (hourly and salaried) including labour edits and biweekly payroll.
• Assist with employee changes: new hires, terminations, pay, banking info, tax credits, vacation pay, severance, ROE, incentives, bonuses, and other records.
• Resolve payroll processing issues and discrepancies; collect and validate payroll data and support Oracle Time & Labour and ADP Workforce Now.
