Job summary

GEO Morphix Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Lead to manage payroll processing, support Human Resources, and oversee accounting operations.

You will maintain accurate records, process payroll for employees, and support benefits administration while contributing to overall financial efficiency. The role requires strong analytical skills, high accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to collaborate across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, finance, accounting, or similar field.
• Experience in professional services, engineering, environmental consulting, or project-based organization is an asset.
• Obtained or working towards accounting or payroll designations, or similar.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP; familiarity with time and billing software such as BigTime.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel; ability to analyze data and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately for salaried and hourly employees.
• Maintain payroll records, deductions, benefits, RRSP contributions, and vacation accruals.
• Review timesheets, expense reimbursements, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with provincial employment standards and payroll legislation.
• Review remittances and year-end payroll reconciliations with the payroll provider.
• Coordinate payroll information with Human Resources and Senior Management.
