Your role and responsibilities
Design, develop, implement and maintain our core Oracle databases.
Maintain our SQL/PLSQL scripts.
Ensure DB availability. Take ownership of performance monitoring of the DB.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
Determine and document DB policies, procedures and standards.
Performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy and integrity.
Identification of bottle necks and deadlock issues.
Ensure SLA's & operational PI's are met, working as necessary with internal and external support functions when major incidents occur.
Will also be the primary SME for our Oracle Goldengate system.
Required technical and professional expertise
Ideally Oracle Database Certified with 10+ years or more experience.
Advanced expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting database performance issues.
Other experience should include storage management, managing schemas, report generation.
Operating system experience with Unix/Linux.
Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump).
Partitioning, good problem solver focused with strong attention to detail.
Experience with an organization with a key reliance on 24X7 reliability on its database.
