The Role
Reporting to the Database Administrator Team Lead, a Database Administrator Tech (DBA) assists in installing, configuring, upgrading, patching, and maintaining the databases utilized by the Versaterm software suite.
DBAs work with product managers, project managers, and clients in the planning and development of the databases, maintaining the integrity of data, and troubleshooting any technical issues. They ensure that the databases that the Versaterm software uses are optimized for the mission-critical systems that depend on them. DBAs must be knowledgeable, trustworthy, independent, and technically competent as they will be accessing and recommending and/or applying changes to live public safety systems for police agencies, fire departments, and ambulance services.
DBAs also monitor new database technologies and releases to assess their implementation within the Versaterm software suite.
