Job summary

Citco, a global leader in fund services, is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst for Middle Office in Halifax. You will manage daily and monthly deliverables under client SLAs, focusing on positions, trades and cash reconciliation with prime brokers.

You will evaluate cash flows and risk across fixed income and derivatives, prepare auditable support for portfolio data, and coach junior staff while building cross‑office relationships in a hybrid Halifax setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Accounting/Finance designation (e.g., CFA, CPA) will be considered an asset.
• 2+ years in Financial Services with an exposure to P&L Reporting or Operations processing.
• Product knowledge: Domestic, Global and OTC markets; Fixed Income and derivative products.
• Knowledge of Hedge Funds.
• Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily and monthly deliverables under client service level agreements with a focus on client relationship management.
• Produce daily operational deliverables in positions, trades and cash.
• Evaluate cash flows, financing and risk across a broad range of investment products including derivatives, debt and private equity.
• Analyze, investigate and resolve issues; prepare reports for assessment and sign off on portfolio and cash risk.
• Prepare auditable support for portfolio and cash positions for monthly financial statements.
• Apply critical thought to existing tools, controls and processes; make recommendations and test solutions.
• Support conversion of new clients and migrations.
• Maintain positive working relationships with investment managers, clients and Citco offices.
• Review and coach junior staff; assist in day-to-day issues.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• You will be responsible for meeting the daily and monthly deliverables of our client’s service level agreements with a focus on client relationship management. This requires a comprehensive understanding of trading, positions and cash reconciliation processes with prime brokers and counterparties.
• Produce daily operational deliverables in line with client service level agreements, primarily activity in positions, trades and cash
• Evaluate cash flows, financing and risk associated with a broad range of investment products including derivatives, debt and private equity
• Analyze, investigate and resolve issues; prepare reports for assessment and sign off on portfolio and cash risk
• Prepare auditable support for portfolio and cash positions, in preparation for monthly financial statements
• Apply critical thought to existing tools, controls and processes; make recommendations and test solutions
• Support the conversion of any new clients and existing migrations
• Maintain positive and professional working relationships with investment managers, clients and other Citco offices
• Review and coach junior staff; assist in the resolution of day-to-day issues
