Job summary

The Citco Group Limited is seeking a Manager, Fund Accounting to lead global best practice initiatives, drive process standardization and enable automation across our Fund Accounting platform.

You will partner with Operations, Technology, Product and Quality Control to deliver improvements, optimize controls, and scale governance. A strong background in hedge funds, analytics and project leadership is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems or related discipline.
5+ years' experience within Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Financial Services Operations or related environment.
Strong understanding of hedge fund accounting principles, fund structures and operational processes.
Demonstrated experience leading process improvement, operational excellence or business transformation initiatives.
Experience analyzing operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead reviews of fund accounting processes, controls and operating models to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and risk reduction.
Conduct root cause analysis of operational issues, recurring exceptions and control deficiencies, developing practical and sustainable solutions.
Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of best practice standards, procedures, controls and governance frameworks across Fund Accounting.
Partner with operational teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring consistent practices and measurable business benefits.
Deliver training, coaching and knowledge-sharing sessions to operational teams and junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

Your Role

As an Manager, Fund Accounting within Citco's Fund Accounting Best Practice Team, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence, process standardization, risk mitigation and innovation across our global Fund Accounting platform.

Working closely with Operations, Technology, Product, Quality Control and senior leadership teams, you will lead improvement initiatives, analyze operational challenges, identify opportunities for automation and support the successful delivery of strategic projects that enhance quality, efficiency and scalability.

You will act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to operational teams while contributing to the evolution of Fund Accounting best practices globally.
Lead reviews of fund accounting processes, controls and operating models to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and risk reduction.
Conduct root cause analysis of operational issues, recurring exceptions and control deficiencies, developing practical and sustainable solutions.
Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of best practice standards, procedures, controls and governance frameworks across Fund Accounting.
Partner with operational teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring consistent practices and measurable business benefits.
Facilitate workshops, process reviews and stakeholder discussions to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational excellence.
Support operational teams in resolving complex accounting, operational and process-related issues.
Analyze operational data, trends and management information to provide insights and recommendations to leadership teams.
Identify automation, workflow and AI opportunities that enhance operational efficiency, improve controls and reduce manual effort.
Work closely with Technology, Product and OPEX teams to define business requirements and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Support system enhancement projects through requirements gathering, process mapping, testing and change adoption activities.
Assist in the development and maintenance of reporting, dashboards and performance metrics that monitor operational effectiveness and improvement outcomes.
Prepare and maintain process documentation, procedures, training materials and best practice guidance.
Deliver training, coaching and knowledge-sharing sessions to operational teams and junior colleagues.
Provide oversight and mentorship to analysts supporting Best Practice initiatives and reporting activities.
Participate in global projects supporting innovation, transformation and the continued development of Citco's Fund Accounting operating model.

Qualifications

About You

Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline.
5+ years' experience within Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Financial Services Operations or a related environment.
Strong understanding of hedge fund accounting principles, fund structures and operational processes.
Demonstrated experience leading process improvement, operational excellence or business transformation initiatives.
Experience analyzing operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes across teams and functions.
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with automation, workflow or process-improvement technologies. Exposure to tools such as UiPath, VBA, Power Automate, Power BI or comparable solutions would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA or another recognized continuous-improvement methodology would be advantageous.
