About this opportunity :

As the Senior Operations Specialist, this role is a key support to the senior operation leadership team to manage and coordinate highly complex business initiatives and operational activities across the Conventional assets. The role is a key resource to the asset operational team for technical advice, coaching, and mentorship. This position will be the go-to person for Upstream Operations input & expertise, liaising with business development and major projects teams, ensuring Operations’ interests are incorporated into projects, continuous improvement, and change initiatives.

What you’ll do :
  1. Support and advise, collect and provide information for economic evaluations, engage technical stakeholders, and keep Operations leadership informed as needed.
  2. Participate in design reviews, liaise with operations and maintenance stakeholders, and ensure operational readiness before project start-up.
  3. Oversee vehicle assignments, coordinate repairs, assist with vehicle redeployment or replacement, prepare vehicles for auction, and manage UTV / ATV maintenance and insurance renewals.
  4. Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance, guide operations with inactive well inspections and SCV checks.
  5. Develop rollout strategies for change initiatives, support engineering troubleshooting, and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  6. Provide technical support, manage multidisciplinary teams, contribute to business strategies, and back-fill Sr. Coordinator as needed for standardization and compliance.

  • Experience directly applicable to the position
  • 8+ years Upstream operations experience
  • Extensive operational knowledge of oil and gas wells / facilities and gathering systems
  • Knowledge of risk management principles
  • Leverages existing and / or builds new key relationships

  • Engages others when changes affect them
  • Effective communication skills – relevant and timely
  • One team’ mindset – pursues what is best for Conventional
  • Considers big picture – long term view
