Altis Recruitment, on behalf of Altis Technology, is seeking a Senior Officer, Philanthropy in Ottawa to lead a portfolio of major donors and secure gifts to support pediatric healthcare initiatives. This role reports to the Manager, Individual Philanthropy and involves collaboration with senior leaders and community partners on ambitious fundraising campaigns, including a major capital initiative.

• Proven major gift fundraising experience with success securing donations ranging from $50,000 to $1M+.
• Strong portfolio management, prospect development, and donor stewardship experience.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills.

• Identify, research, and cultivate major gift prospects through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
• Independently manage donor relationships, advancing opportunities through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Develop personalized fundraising strategies and prepare donor proposals, gift agreements, and impact reports.
• Monitor fundraising performance, maintain donor records in Raiser's Edge, and identify revenue growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, volunteers, and professional advisors to strengthen donor engagement and achieve fundraising goals.
• Represent the organization at community events and build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven major gift fundraising experience, with demonstrated success securing donations ranging from $50,000 to $1M+.
• Strong portfolio management, prospect development, and donor stewardship experience.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Strategic, results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
• Proficiency with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
• French bilingualism, gift planning knowledge, and experience with complex giving vehicles are considered assets.
