Job summary

Aecon Group is seeking a Buyer to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project in Bowmanville, Ontario. The role reports to the Procurement Manager and entails end-to-end procurement of commodities, equipment, and services for nuclear projects in Canada, with emphasis on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in nuclear procurement or 8+ years in conventional procurement, strong negotiation skills, and experience with RFQ/RFP processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Nuclear Construction Procurement or 8+ years in conventional procurement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Solicit vendor pricing, negotiate and procure subcontracted services, equipment, materials and components.
• Review requisitions and procurement documentation for completeness and compliance.
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes from issuance through award.
• Develop and support procurement plans and strategies.
• Coordinate procurement activities with project teams and schedulers.
• Provide tender-stage pricing support to estimating teams.
• Oversee logistics and critical delivery expediting.
• Maintain quality assurance and procurement compliance requirements.
