Job summary

Affinity Credit Union is seeking a Senior Network Analyst to lead hands-on management of enterprise network infrastructure, including NGFW, SD-WAN, and centralized management. You will deploy, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, and security services across a multi-site environment.

The role requires a post-secondary diploma in a related field and at least 3 years of network experience, with strong knowledge of routing, security, and network performance tools.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field and 3 years of network experience or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure technologies: IP subnetting, TCP/IP, DNS, routing/switching, OSPF/BGP, next-gen firewalls, NAT, 802.1x, VPNs, load balancers, and network performance tools such as Wireshark.
  • Experience leading projects or acting as lead network resource with cross-team collaboration.
  • Ability to conduct leading practice research to identify innovative processes.
  • Preferred: Aruba / Cisco certifications (CCIE, CCNP, ACX-S, ACP-S) or similar; experience with Palo Alto, VPNs, and data center networks.
  • Experience with Aruba Datacenter Switches would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, configure, and implement changes to enhance the enterprise network infrastructure, aligning to security policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN, VoIP, Wi‑Fi, VPN, security, and data center issues.
  • Manage and maintain NGFW environments via centralized management.
  • Enforce 802.1x security and policy controls.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business-critical workloads.
  • Monitor security alerts on managed devices and address risks.

As a Senior Network Analyst, you will play a key role and have a hands‑on approach to a wide range of technologies, including: NGFW Solution deployed with central management environment, Load Balancers, Mature SDWan Network Environment with Zero Touch deployment for remote branches, Cisco Radius and TACACS+, AAA security and software solution within an 802.1x environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Evaluate, recommend, configure, and implement changes to enhance the enterprise network infrastructure, including developing business cases, aligning to security policies, participating in projects, and ensuring user awareness
  • Troubleshoot, deploy, and resolve LAN, WAN (MPLS/VPLS), VoIP, Wi‑Fi, VPN, security, and data center related issues
  • Manage and maintain NGFW Environment using centralized management platform
  • Identify opportunities and enforcement of polices using 802.1x security
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and support infrastructure for business‑critical workloads
  • Monitor security alerts and notifications on managed devices while identifying, investigating, and resolving security risks

What you’ve got:

  • A post‑secondary diploma/degree in a related field, plus 3 years of network related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced expertise and technical knowledge in network infrastructure technologies including: IP Subnetting, TCP/IP, DNS, routing and switching fundamentals, routing protocols (OSPF and BGP), next gen firewalls, NAT, 802.1x authentication, VPN tunnels and load balancers, Network performance monitoring tools & Wireshark etc.
  • Experience leading projects and/or acting as the lead network resource while working collaboratively with other project stakeholders
  • Ability to conduct leading practice research to discover, analyze, and recommend innovative processes
  • Candidates with the following technical skills/training will be preferred:
  • Aruba / Cisco certifications (CCIE, CCNP, ACX‑S, ACP‑S) or similar industry certifications.
  • Experience with PaloAlto firewall, VPNs, and security products.
  • Experience with data center network architecture.
  • Experience with Aruba Datacenter Switches would be an asset
