Job description

Ready for a network engineering role where you can take the technical lead, work on complex infrastructure, and have a real impact?

We are partnering with a progressive, technology-driven organization looking to add an experienced Senior Network Engineer to its growing team

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong network professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading projects, and working with enterprise-level infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to design, implement, optimize, and support sophisticated client network environments while serving as a senior technical resource for both clients and internal engineering teams.

The environment includes infrastructure spanning three data centres across Canada and the United States, interconnected through a mesh DWDM backbone — giving you exposure to technology and network complexity well beyond a typical support environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will take ownership of complex networking initiatives from initial design through successful implementation and ongoing optimization.

You will:

  • Design, configure, and deploy enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data centre networking solutions
  • Lead network infrastructure projects from scoping and architecture through implementation and handover
  • Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point, troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues
  • Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless controllers, and related infrastructure
  • Work across technologies from Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, Sophos, Aruba, Ubiquiti, and other leading vendors
  • Support and optimize routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
  • Work with VLANs, STP, SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and cloud networking environments
  • Monitor network performance and identify opportunities to improve performance, security, redundancy, and resiliency
  • Develop network diagrams, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures
  • Mentor junior and intermediate engineers and provide technical leadership across the team
  • Partner directly with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting business-critical client environments
What You Bring

We are looking for someone who combines strong hands-on technical ability with the confidence to lead projects, troubleshoot complex environments, and communicate effectively with clients.

  • Ideally, you bring:5+ years of progressive network engineering or infrastructure experience
  • Advanced hands‑on knowledge of routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and STP
  • Experience with enterprise firewall and security technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, or Sophos
  • Experience with enterprise wireless technologies such as Cisco Meraki, Aruba, or Ubiquiti
  • Working knowledge of SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud networking
  • Exposure to Azure and/or AWS networking is anasset
  • Experience with carrier‑grade technologies such as MPLS‑SR, Cisco NCS, Cisco IOS‑XR, and Cisco Nexus is a strong asset
  • CCNP, CCIE, or comparable vendor certifications are strongly preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • The ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to client locations within Ontario when required
  • International experience is valued. Canadian work experience is not required, and equivalent experience gained outside Canada will receive equal consideration.
