3 Step Recruitment Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design and maintain secure LAN/WAN architectures within a highly secure, complex infrastructure environment.

This on-site role supports PKI and identity management systems and requires a senior engineer who thrives on solving tough problems. The position involves hands-on work in a data center, with occasional travel to Toronto as security requirements allow.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of network administration experience.
• CCIE or equivalent routing & switching certification.
• Strong experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
• Experience with BGP, IPSEC, load balancing, and HA environments.
• Experience with WAN optimization technologies.
• Basic understanding of digital certificates and PKI environments.
• Experience supporting 24/7 production environments.
• Fluent in English or French with working knowledge of the other.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage network devices.
• Monitor and optimize network performance.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Support load balancing, high availability, and WAN optimization solutions.
• Contribute to infrastructure design and capacity planning.

• Participate in rotating on-call support.

Salary: $130,000 to $140,000 depending on experience level
Full-Time | Permanent

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support and evolve a highly secure, complex infrastructure environment supporting PKI and identity management systems.
This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys designing secure network architecture, solving complex problems, and working hands-on in a highly technical environment.
Due to the security requirements of the infrastructure, this role requires on-site work at the data center. Occasional travel to Toronto will eventually be required as well.
