Job summary

Black Diamond Group in Calgary is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to design, develop, and implement Microsoft-based solutions across the organization. The role emphasizes web and mobile development, API integration, and data management, with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

You will work within the IT Projects team in a hybrid model, with approximately 20% flexibility to work from home, to support applications used company-wide and drive performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field with 5+ years in software design and implementation.
• Hands-on experience building .NET APIs, desktop and web solutions.
• Mobile development experience (Flutter and Dart) is a strong asset.
• Backend API experience in other languages is an asset.
• Extensive experience with SQL and cloud-based infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on comprehensive solution designs including software architecture and security.
• Optimize application performance and reliability through code improvements.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable tech solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and perform proof-of-concept evaluations.
• Oversee end-to-end implementation, managing resources and timelines.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.
• Develop and maintain thorough technical documentation.
