Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Fort McMurray, Alberta is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary municipal infrastructure projects, building resilient water, wastewater, drainage and transportation solutions for public and private clients.

You will manage client relationships, oversee delivery, support business development, provide technical and construction administration leadership, mentor staff, and collaborate with regulators and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes and growth.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or a Civil Engineering Technology diploma.
• Professional Engineer, P.Eng., or Certified Engineering Technologist, C.E.T., designation, or eligibility for registration with APEGA or ASET.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure engineering, with focus on water and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Experience leading delivery of engineering projects, including consultant coordination, client management, scope development, budget control, schedule management, and quality oversight.
• Experience administering construction contracts and supporting projects through construction phase.
• Proven business development experience, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and pursuit leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, contractors, regulators, and teams.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder, and industry relationships to drive growth and position WSP as a trusted advisor.
• Lead business development activities, including opportunity identification, pursuits, proposals, fee development, contract negotiations, and market expansion.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams through pursuit, delivery, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Oversee project performance, including scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk, and client satisfaction.
• Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring effective communication and long-term client success.
• Provide construction administration, technical support, and contract management during project implementation.
• Mentor junior staff and support development of project management, technical, and client relationship skills.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to designs, analyses, specs, cost estimates, and reports.
