Job summary

Select People Solutions is assisting our client in Medicine Hat to hire a General Manager of Child Care. This senior role oversees licensed early-years and out-of-school programs across multiple sites, shaping strategy, workforce development, and service quality.

The position requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a proven track record in multi-site operations. Based in Medicine Hat, the role is full-time with travel between locations and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within licensed child care, early learning, education, or human services.
• 3+ years of experience leading managers and overseeing multi-site operations.
• Experience managing budgets, operational plans, and performance outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational oversight of licensed programs across multiple locations.
• Lead, coach, and develop program managers and workforce planning.
• Ensure licensing compliance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Build relationships with families, community partners, and regulators to identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor departmental goals, quality standards, and program performance.
