Job summary

Unity Technologies Canada is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of foundational AI systems inside the Unity engine. You will enable creators to build smarter, autonomous in-game agents and more reactive simulations.

The role emphasizes reinforcement learning, decision making, and agent memory with production-grade ML in a real-time engine. Collaboration across teams and a path to shaping the roadmap are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in CS/ML/Robotics or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on ML system development in production.
• Strong background in RL, planning or multi-agent systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale AI agent systems within Unity environments enabling goal-directed behavior and environment-aware decision-making.
• Develop reusable agentic frameworks and memory systems for creators to extend in projects.
• Develop ML models for the Unity agentic system and integrate them within real-time engine constraints.
