Job summary

Button is seeking a Senior Microsoft Developer to lead a long-term digital modernization program for a government client in Canada. The role focuses on Microsoft 365 capabilities, data integration, and scalable component design, with hands-on implementation and knowledge transfer.

You will drive solution architecture across Teams, SharePoint, Planner, Power Platform, Dataverse, Power BI, Viva and Copilot, delivering secure, sustainable digital modernization.

Qualifications

• Min 10 years in the Microsoft ecosystem with full solution lifecycle experience.
• Certifications: PL-400 or PL-600.
• Five years in the last decade with Planner API, Graph API, Teams, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Five years with Visual Studio IDE (C#, .NET, Python) and VS Code (JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js).
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams; security screening required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full solution lifecycle using an outcome-first approach.
• Define business problem and user needs; assess data ownership and integration requirements.
• Map needs to Microsoft 365 capabilities and compare solutions for simplicity, sustainability and governance.
• Design, test and implement the solution with reusable components; provide documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Work with business and technical teams to optimize processes, data access and reporting.
• Support modernization of regulatory capabilities.
