Job summary

Westinghouse in Kitchener, Ontario is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and analyze electrical systems for nuclear products and projects. You will work with cross‑functional teams on documentation, evaluation, and compliance, reporting to the Manager, Aux Electrical Systems and Equipment.

This is a hybrid role with two onsite days weekly. Qualifications include 5+ years in electrical engineering, a B.E.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with electrical system design including load flow studies, short circuit analysis, protective relay settings, instrumentation and controls, and system wiring.
  • Knowledge of power plant systems and equipment; experience with power or nuclear projects is preferred.
  • Experience developing procurement specifications, reviewing supplier proposals, and supporting operating plants with engineering documentation.

About the role:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will apply advanced electrical engineering knowledge to support the design and analysis of nuclear products and projects. You will be responsible for electrical system design, instrumentation and controls, and system wiring activities, supporting operating plants and new projects. This role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams and the ability to develop and review high‑quality engineering documentation.

You will report to the Manager, Aux Electrical Systems and Equipment and be located at the Kitchener, Ontario Office . This position will be offered as a hybrid role. Employees working in hybrid roles are expected to work onsite at our Kitchener, Ontario Office 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $86,800 to $108,500 per year .
