Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Mississauga is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Piping Designer to join the Project Delivery Group (PDG). You will contribute to heavy industrial plant layout, piping design and 3D modeling, applying BIM and data-centric approaches to deliver projects globally.

The role focuses on layout, piping system routing, isometrics, and coordination with engineers and designers to meet safety, quality, and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

• Heavy industrial plant layout experience and piping routing.
• Familiar with ASME piping codes.
• Extensive 2D/3D CAD experience with adherence to standards.
• Design and modeling for plant layout, piping detailing.
• Knowledge of piping components and materials.
• Industry/regulatory piping standards knowledge.
• Isometric production control and monitoring experience.
• Multidisciplinary coordination experience.
• Design systems/workflows in piping discipline knowledge.
• Strong understanding of PFDs and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review plant layout and piping systems.
• Ensure compliance with ASME piping codes.
• Create 2D/3D CAD models per standards.
• Produce isometrics and detailing for fabrication.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams.
• Support project delivery in PDG Mississauga.
