Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Design Manager - Linear Water & Wastewater to lead multidisciplinary teams in delivering major municipal infrastructure projects in Mississauga. This role reports to the Project Director and oversees design across planning, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction phases.

The successful candidate will manage design scope, client relationships, budgets, schedules, and governance while mentoring engineers and ensuring compliance with Hatch standards. A P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
• P.Eng designation in Ontario or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Minimum 15 years of experience leading design and delivery of major municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management for linear water and wastewater projects from planning through construction.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate with clients, regulators, and contractors.
• Develop design management plans and ensure governance, quality, and compliance.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation across the design lifecycle.
• Provide mentorship to engineers and project engineers within the design group.
