Job summary

Hatch Ltd. in Trail, BC, is seeking a Senior Mechanical & Piping Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group. You will establish system requirements, perform analyses, and develop 3D models and 2D drawings while leading a multidisciplinary team.

The role reports to the Regional Manager, Mechanical & Piping, and may supervise junior engineers, designers, and technologists. Base salary is posted; relocation and benefits are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–15 years of experience in heavy industry.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations and codes for mechanical engineering.
• Ability to coordinate mechanical activities between disciplines.
• Ability to delegate tasks and supervise others.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and deliverables.
• Assist Engineering Manager/Lead Mechanical Engineer with scope, cost and schedule.
• Perform system analyses and establish layouts and designs.
• Prepare engineering calculations, data sheets and technical memos.
• Contribute to 3D models and 2D drawings, and participate in design reviews.
• Manage small capital and maintenance projects and assist in proposals.
