Job summary

Enerflex Ltd. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical engineering of modular process and water-treatment equipment packages from concept through fabrication and project closeout.

The role emphasizes skid-engineering for pressure vessels, piping systems, and packaging interfaces, with strong leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, designers, and fabrication partners.

Qualifications

• Applicant should hold a mechanical engineering degree and P.Eng. eligibility/registration with APEGA.
• 12+ years in EPC, packaged equipment, fabrication or detailed engineering environments.
• Experience designing and integrating pressure vessels, static equipment, valves and piping.
• Proficiency with design and analysis tools and 3D CAD systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering for modular skids and packaged systems and interfaces.
• Develop and review mechanical specifications, datasheets, BOMs, and technical docs.
• Review 3D models, layouts, isometrics, and fabrication drawings for constructability.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Prepare technical requisitions, evaluate vendor proposals, and bid evaluations.
• Support fabrication facilities and resolve shop queries and changes.
• Participate in design reviews, inspections, tests, and hazard reviews.
• Coordinate with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and project teams.
• Deliver mechanical work within scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Support proposals with sizing, clarifications, risk and cost estimates.
• Maintain standardized package designs and engineering practices.
