Job summary

Equinox Engineering Ltd. in Calgary is seeking a Senior/ Lead Mechanical Engineer to guide mechanical design and execution across a diverse portfolio of energy projects. You will lead the mechanical team in a multidisciplinary environment and mentor engineers, delivering high-quality, safe facilities from concept through execution.

The role requires a P.Eng. with APEGA, a mechanical engineering degree, and 12–15 years of EPCM oil and gas experience, including lead responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12–15 years of EPCM experience on oil and gas projects with significant lead responsibility.
• Experience planning and managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Experience with package engineering; background in static and/or rotating equipment.
• Experience supporting conventional oil, heavy oil, SAGD, and/or sweet/sour gas projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented, solutions-driven, quality-focused engineering delivery.

What You'll Do

You are a technically strong mechanical engineer with proven leadership experience in an EPCM environment. You bring:
