Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical engineering across a portfolio of Liquids Pipelines projects in Canada and the United States. You will guide design, equipment selection, reliability improvements, and cost-effective operation of Enbridge assets.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. A PE certification and extensive oil & gas experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of related oil and gas industry experience.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada; US PE preferred.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas pipeline and facility construction and related codes.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Mechanical Engineering contact for Projects and ensure alignment with standards and reliability objectives.
• Review and audit project designs for compliance and provide feedback to Projects and stakeholders.
• Lead or support in-house projects and produce design documentation, drawings, and calculations.
• Apply mechanical engineering skills throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify design improvements and enhance cost competitiveness and efficiency.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to developing engineers and junior team members.
