Job summary

Enbridge Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide leadership across a portfolio of Liquids Pipelines projects in Canada and the United States.

You will guide project design, equipment selection, reliability improvements, and engineering solutions to support safe, reliable operation of Enbridge assets. You will mentor developing engineers and collaborate with internal teams to identify design improvements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of related oil and gas industry experience.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada; US PE preferred.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas pipeline and facility construction and applicable regulatory codes and standards.
• Proven ability to communicate and mentor across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Mechanical Engineering contact for Projects, ensuring alignment with standards and reliability objectives.
• Review and audit project designs for compliance and completeness, providing constructive feedback.
• Lead or support in-house projects and produce designed drawings and calculations within schedule, budget, and safety constraints.
• Apply mechanical engineering skills throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency and cost competitiveness.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to developing engineers and junior team members.
