Job summary

EXP Services Inc. seeks a Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join the Infrastructure & Transportation team in New Liskeard, ON. You will lead pump and piping design efforts and mentor junior staff on project deliverables.

Requirements include a mechanical engineering degree and 5+ years of design experience; P.Eng. is preferred, with 3D modeling as an asset. Salary ranges from $92K to $120K CAD, with comprehensive responsibilities across QA/QC and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
• 3D Modeling experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and direct mechanical staff on pump and piping design.
• Perform QA/QC review of specifications, reports, and drawings.
• QA/QC reviews calculations and provides guidance to designers.
• Define content of drawings and specs for junior staff to meet scope.
• Review code-related items with Designers for compliance.
• Edit and develop basis of design narratives for projects.
• Write new specifications sections and develop details for project needs.
• Prepare studies and reports for systems on projects.
• Apply and modify controls diagrams for the project.
• Modify sequences of operation for air and water side equipment.
• Evaluate contractor pricing and cost estimates.
• Travel to project sites to review progress and resolve issues.
• Develop and monitor work plans.
