The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, self-starter to join our head office team as a Senior Marketing Specialist. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute marketing strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to our brand’s success. If you are a creative thinker, problem solver, passionate about project management, and experienced in developing, executing, and optimizing marketing initiatives, we’d love to hear from you.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Senior Marketing Specialist will coordinate, plan, execute, and collaborate on all brand-level marketing activities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across offline and online channels to increase brand awareness, consideration, and adoption.
  • Manage and update the annual marketing activation plan and calendar.
  • Coordinate with GMs and Operators to ensure effective marketing execution in stores, sharing best practices.
  • Support the execution of marketing tactics, partnerships, programming, and activations at a national level, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Organize photo/video shoots, ensuring digital content and collateral align with brand standards.
  • Plan, strategize, and manage social media content; monitor and post across channels.
  • Maintain up-to-date marketing and social calendars, making recommendations as needed.
  • Review creative marketing materials regularly and ensure all collateral and digital presence meet brand standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Brainstorm and develop creative marketing campaign ideas for both national and local initiatives.
  • Manage campaign process tools, including briefs, critical paths, and schedules.
  • Analyze marketing data to inform future strategies.
  • Assist in managing the marketing budget to keep campaigns on target.
  • Stay informed about consumer trends and habits.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on competitive analysis.
  • Keep up with market and online trends relevant to Denny’s and our brands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of relevant marketing, branding, or communications experience.
  • Experience in project management and coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent time management.
  • Proactive self-starter with attention to detail and a structured approach.
  • Creative problem solver and resourceful thinker.
  • Highly collaborative, able to foster relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in hospitality marketing, digital marketing, and social media strategy is an asset.

Work & Travel

The candidate must reside in Vancouver and work a hybrid schedule at our Support Center on West Broadway. Occasional travel within Canada and the US may be required.
