We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager with a strong B2B background to lead our marketing efforts, enhance our brand, and drive client acquisition in North America.

Job Overview :

The Senior Marketing Manager will spearhead B2B-focused marketing strategies to promote Olsen Consulting’s consulting and development services, strengthen brand authority, and engage sophisticated business audiences. This role requires expertise in Fresh Sales, SEO, retargeting, branding, promotion, events, networking, and exceptional presentation skills, with a deep understanding of B2B consulting and development. Experience with accounting or financial software is a valuable asset. The candidate must be based in North America and thrive in a strategic, client-centric environment. Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities and limited structure.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute B2B marketing strategies to position Olsen Consulting as a trusted leader in consulting and development services.
  • Craft compelling, industry-specific brand messaging tailored to B2B decision-makers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify B2B client needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning in North America and beyond.
  • Advocate for marketing-led initiatives internally, building buy-in across teams and ensuring alignment with evolving brand and business strategies.

Digital Marketing, SEO & Retargeting :

  • Utilize Fresh Sales to design and optimize targeted email campaigns, automations, and client nurture sequences for B2B audiences.
  • Implement SEO strategies (on-page, off-page, technical) to enhance visibility of consulting and development services in search results.
  • Manage B2B retargeting campaigns (e.g., LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads) to re-engage high-value prospects and drive conversions.
  • Analyze performance metrics for email, SEO, and retargeting campaigns to optimize lead generation and ROI.
  • Oversee creation of thought leadership content (e.g., whitepapers, case studies, blogs) for digital platforms, including website and LinkedIn.

Promotion & B2B Events :

  • Design promotional campaigns to generate qualified B2B leads and showcase Olsen Consulting’s expertise in consulting and development.
  • Plan and execute high-impact B2B events, such as executive roundtables, industry conferences, and client workshops, to build relationships and credibility.
  • Manage event logistics, budgets, and follow-up strategies to convert event leads into clients.

Networking & Relationship Building :

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with B2B stakeholders, industry leaders, and North America’s business community to drive referrals and partnerships.
  • Represent Olsen Consulting at industry events, trade associations, and networking forums to enhance brand authority.
  • Identify and pursue strategic B2B partnerships to expand market reach and client opportunities.
  • Skilled in managing diverse stakeholder relationships, balancing strategic priorities, and ensuring alignment across marketing and business goals.

Presentations & Communication :

  • Deliver polished presentations to C-suite executives, clients, and partners to articulate Olsen Consulting’s value proposition and marketing strategies.
  • Develop high-quality B2B marketing materials, including proposals, pitch decks, and success stories, tailored to consulting and development services.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align marketing initiatives with sales and business development goals in the B2B space.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role, ideally within consulting or development services.
  • Experience mentoring junior marketers or leading cross-functional initiatives, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
  • Proven expertise in Fresh Sales for B2B campaign creation, automation, segmentation, and analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO (e.g., keyword research, technical SEO) and B2B retargeting (e.g., LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads) to drive lead generation.
  • Deep understanding of B2B branding, promotion, and event management within consulting and development contexts.
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with an established B2B network in North America.
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, with experience engaging senior-level B2B decision-makers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a strategic, client-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in B2B marketing tools, CRM systems, SEO platforms (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and initiative, with a track record of identifying and executing high-impact marketing opportunities independently.
  • Must reside in Metro Calgary and be available for in-person events and client meetings.

Preferred Skills & Assets :

  • Direct experience marketing B2B consulting services (e.g., strategy, operations, technology) or development services (e.g., software, process optimization).
  • Experience in marketing ERP or financial software solutions (e.g., Vista by Viewpoint, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Sage 300 CRE) is a strong asset, particularly in support of financial consulting or software implementation services.
  • Strong knowledge of North America’s B2B landscape, including key industries like energy, technology, or finance.
  • Familiarity with content creation for B2B thought leadership (e.g., whitepapers, webinars).
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
