Job summary

Englobe is seeking a senior marine engineer to lead assessments, design and project coordination for Atlantic Canada marine infrastructure. You will work with civil and structural teams on wharves, piers, launchways and related facilities, applying safety-driven and detail-oriented engineering practices.

The role requires a Civil Eng degree (master's a plus) and 5+ years in marine projects, with eligibility for P.Eng. You will enjoy a hybrid work arrangement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a marine focus or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in marine engineering or marine infrastructure.
• Experience with marine structures (wharves, piers, docks) is preferred.
• Registered or eligible for P.Eng. with Canadian body.

Responsibilities

• Lead health and safety practices on projects and promote Englobe policies.
• Conduct marine structural assessments, inspections, and prepare reports.
• Evaluate materials and design marine facilities (concrete, steel, timber).
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate activities with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop concepts, sketches, and practical engineering solutions.
• Review shop drawings and advise during design/construction.
• Monitor progress and report updates to managers.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
