Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead key manufacturing and operations initiatives in East London. You will drive efficiency improvements, implement new production processes, and manage capital expenditure projects within a busy plant environment.

The role requires a strategic leader capable of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, working with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in manufacturing/operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) or related field.
• Experience managing large-scale capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and quality management systems; excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex manufacturing and operations projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, manage budgets, allocate resources, and oversee timelines effectively.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to achieve project objectives.
• Implement operational improvements and new manufacturing technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout all project phases.
