Main Duties & Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY :
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies :
- Implementing cost-effective equipment modification to help improve throughput.
- Solves complex problems with manufacturing, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.
- Identifies opportunities for cost and manpower reductions through assembly configuration and improvement.
- Drive incorporation of technical advancements into manufacturing process and technology employed in the manufacturing of existing products.
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem solving situations.
- Responds well to questions.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
