Job summary

The Manager, Structures at 407 ETR leads the planning, management, and delivery of inspection, maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction programs for bridges, culverts, and related assets across the service area in Ontario.

The ideal candidate holds a P.Eng. designation with a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and 10+ years of related experience, plus strong leadership, budgeting, and regulatory knowledge to support safe, cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and P.Eng. in good standing.
• 10+ years of experience in inspection, maintenance, rehabilitation, and construction of bridges and transportation structures.
• Strong budgeting, planning, and project execution skills with safety leadership.
• Knowledge of Ontario standards and regulatory requirements; effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee inventory and records for all structures within the 407 ETR network.
• Lead structural inspections, OSIM or equivalent, and annual/detailed maintenance programs.
• Administer tenders, bids, and procurement for structural assets.
• Supervise consultants, contractors, and service providers; ensure timely delivery.
• Guide budget development and capital planning for structures portfolio.
• Provide technical expertise and leadership to the Structures team.
