We are looking for a dynamic leader who is as passionate as we are about helping Canadians succeed with credit. The Third-Party Management Team provides third-party sourcing services utilizing governance practices to support Capital One’s strategic objectives.

As Senior Manager, reporting to the Director of Third-Party Management, you will be the first line of defense in third-party matters, partnering with business stakeholders to ensure optimal leverage and risk management, including adherence to policies and regulations.

You will have deep expertise in market knowledge across categories to support our technology-focused business, ensuring third-party arrangements provide a competitive advantage through pricing, negotiations, and rationalization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strong relationships as a trusted advisor with business teams to support strategic sourcing activities.
  • Serve as Process Owner for third-party management processes, enhancing controls and managing risks.
  • Oversee the Canada Site Assessment and Third-Party Data Share Program.
  • Ensure oversight of all suppliers and services within inter/intra-company agreements.
  • Collaborate across the organization to meet strategic objectives.
  • Lead governance activities, including control testing and reporting.
  • Develop and manage policies, standards, procedures related to third-party management.
  • Stay informed on regulatory and industry trend changes.
  • Support internal audits, regulatory inquiries, incident management, and remediation.
  • Participate in management forums and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and third parties to meet objectives.
  • Apply risk management, negotiation, and influencing skills to support pricing and service levels.
  • Manage multiple priorities with various stakeholders, respecting deadlines.
  • Foster an innovative mindset to create efficiencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, technology, or engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of third-party management experience in the financial industry, including process and risk management.
  • At least 7 years working in a cross-functional environment.
  • At least 4 years of leadership experience.
  • Deep market knowledge in sourcing categories relevant to credit card business, with negotiation and contracting skills.
  • Experience with Lean & Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Program/Project Management expertise.
  • Basic coding or data visualization skills (e.g., SQL, Tableau).
