Job summary

Jays Care Foundation in Toronto is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy to shape organizational strategy, drive performance, and define success measures from the Rogers Centre onsite.

The role leads cross-functional teams, develops execution roadmaps, mentors junior members, and stays ahead of industry trends. Legally able to work in Canada; MBA asset but not required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years experience in strategy consulting, internal strategy function, investment banking, or related field
  • Structured problem-solving ability in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Ownership mindset with ability to lead projects and mentor team members
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including financial modeling and business case analysis
  • Able to communicate complex concepts to an executive audience
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business and deliver outcomes
  • Team player with curiosity to push beyond assigned work
  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • MBA or post-graduate degree is an asset, but not required
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

About The Team

The Strategy team is a trusted partner that helps to shape strategy, set priorities, and deliver key strategic initiatives. Working cross-functionally across the business, the team leverages structured problem‑solving and quantitative and qualitative analysis to address complex challenges, inform decision‑making, and translate ideas into impact. This role reports to the Director of Strategy, and works out of the Rogers Centre, onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Drive organizational strategy and performance by:
    • Shaping strategy, establishing priorities, and defining success measures
    • Leading strategic planning and the development of execution roadmaps
    • Identifying and assessing opportunities and trends to improve performance
    • Measuring and tracking progress to inform decision‑making
  • Lead cross-functional teams to solve important business challenges by:
    • Ensuringa common understandingof goals andobjectives
    • Developing practical, robust approachesthat enable successful execution
    • Building strong relationships across the organization and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders
    • Soliciting involvement and input from both internal and external parties
  • Own and execute strategic initiatives by:
    • Leading initiatives from concept through implementation
    • Structuring problems, framing opportunities, and analyzing options
    • Contribute to the growth and development of the Strategy Team by:
      • Coaching and mentoring junior team members
      • Contributing new tools, frameworks, and best practices to build effectiveness
      • Playing an active role in the development of a high-performing team culture
      • Staying up to date with industry trendsand emerging technologies

    • Salary: The anticipated base compensation range for this role is $95,000-110,000. Actual base pay offered may differ based on a range of factors, including individual experience, education, skills, and organizational needs.
