Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Grocery)

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will own and execute strategy and operations for all ingredient sub-categories within Grocery (such as Dairy, Dry Goods, Spices, Processed and Baked Goods, and HelloFresh Market). Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will oversee sourcing activities, ensure product quality and sustainability, and manage our supplier network to meet ingredient specifications. You will lead vendor negotiations, develop new product offerings, and improve procurement processes. Collaborating with suppliers, supply chain, and culinary teams, you will be instrumental in building market-leading meal kits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing and supply chain strategies for Grocery categories to maximize quality, minimize risk, and boost profitability.
• Manage category performance by delivering cost savings, ensuring timely and quality delivery, and supporting internal stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through strong vendor relationships, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and quality enhancement.
• Build and maintain a robust supplier base aligned with company values; manage supplier performance and innovation initiatives.
• Partner with internal teams (Procurement, Quality, Technical, Product) on projects from conception to launch and review.
• Coach and mentor team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in supply chain, operations, management consulting, or strategic sourcing; Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills; creative, collaborative, and persistent approach.
• Data-driven decision-making skills.
