Job summary

Mace is seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Consultant to support major infrastructure programmes in Canada. You will lead stakeholder engagement, communications, and interface management, building strong relationships with public and private partners to deliver governance and clear reporting.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure or capital projects, experience with Indigenous engagement, and the ability to distill complex information for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience supporting stakeholder engagement for infrastructure or major capital projects.
  • Experience with Crown corporations, utilities, regulators, or public-sector organizations.
  • Experience supporting electricity transmission, energy transition, or utility programs.
  • Understanding of infrastructure or construction project lifecycles and interfaces.
  • Experience supporting Indigenous engagement and community consultation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to distil complex information for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Tracks progress against KPIs and supports governance and reporting.

  • Innovates to align with industry best practice and service excellence.
  • Provides line management to junior resources as required.

Delivery of stakeholder management, communications, and interface management services for major construction and infrastructure programmes, supporting project governance, stakeholder engagement, and successful project outcomes across complex project environments.

You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Supports the development and implementation of stakeholder, community and Indigenous engagement strategies, plans and approaches.
  • Providing advice to clients on stakeholder and communications standards, process and tools.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Tracking progress against KPIs and supporting governance and reporting for stakeholder management and communications.
  • Working collaboratively to recognise opportunities, elevate and help mitigate issues, and achieve key objectives.
  • Innovating and aligning with industry best practice to ensure continued service excellence.
  • Provides Line Management to more junior resources and other Project staff as required.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Minimum 5 yrs experience (or equivalent) supporting the delivery of stakeholder engagement programs for infrastructure, utilities, transportation, public sector or major capital projects.
  • Experience working with or providing services to Crown corporations, utilities, regulators, government agencies or public-sector organizations.
  • Experience supporting electricity transmission, energy transition, utility or infrastructure programs.
  • Understanding of infrastructure or construction projects, and the dependencies and interfaces within the project lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting Indigenous engagement and community consultation initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to form working relationships with and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to distil complex information for a range of audiences including non-technical.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, consultations and engagement activities.
Note:

The estimated salary for this position is 120,000 - 150,000 CAD. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
